Note: These ideas have appeared on the blog before, but have been reworked a bit for the current project. That’s a good thing, as a slightly different view gives us a new perspective and understanding. Or so I hear. Humans struggle with time and scale. As a member of the species I feel qualified to say as much. Regardless of what we know to be true or probable, our primary concern is not for tomorrow, it’s for today. This is not necessarily intentional or inevitable, but rather a strong biological disposition. We let go of the bird in hand because we see that there are two in the bush. We are desensitized and numbed by news stories reporting the latest spike in disease incidence…
